Media Release -- When Charles Soule ended his long-running tenure on DAREDEVIL this past November, he left Matt Murdock in an unthinkable position with a surprising and chilling finale that rocked the Marvel Universe.
In February, an all-new story kicks off for Matt Murdock in DAREDEVIL #1, from superstar creative team Chip Zdarsky (Invaders, Marvel 2-In-One) and Marco Checchetto (Old Man Hawkeye, Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends) – and today, Marvel is excited to reveal the first cover for the hotly anticipated new series!
"I fell in love immediately with Chip's script," Marco Checchetto told Marvel.com in an interview. "It's in pure Daredevil style. We love the same stories and characters and we have a similar vision for this series, how Matt has to look and his costume for example, or the page layouts.
"I've always loved the various tonal takes on DAREDEVIL, but for this run I've decided to really go deep on the realities of being a vigilante in this world," Chip Zdarsky also teased to Marvel.com.
